There are no words to express how grateful I am for these past 8 years. All I can say is thank you. You taught me more than just how to play the piano. You showed me my full potential as a pianist and always pushed me to be better. You were always so kind even when I came to class empty-handed. So thank you for putting up with me all these years. I assure you they won't go to waste. So when I leave this place, I hope to continue to use this gift to express my self through music. May God Bless You and your students. I can't believe it's been almost TEN years since I had my first piano lesson with you. Starting all the way back in November 2000, I was only 7 years old. Now I'm 17 going to university. Time flies... When I first saw my sister play the piano, I thought it was really cool. I wanted to play it too, so that's when I started taking lessons with you. I really enjoy playing but practicing every day isn't my thing. You should know this by now... :) When times get hard in my life, I play the piano to relief my stress and to express my feelings and emotions. I play for myself ( and of course, for the ladies) ;) After all these years, that is the most important thing I learned from you. I remember I always wanted to win an award during a piano recital. I finally got one, so now I could leave knowing that my name will always be in your studio. You've always been there for me, whether it's good or bad. I appreciate all your guidance. You're the nicest piano teacher ever. I will continue to play and work harder. Thank you. May God bless you and your family.... Jonathan

I would like to thank you for teaching me how to play the piano and everything else that goes with it; not just to see the notes but also to see the story behind it; the emotion you put in it while playing. The higher levels does get harder, naturally; and requires a lot more discipline and patience, and even though I did not put enough effort into it, I thank you for encouraging me to go further. Being able to play the piano is a gift, I know. And I am blessed to have had the opportunity to develop it with you, supporting me through it all. Going through grade 9 piano, I realized that if I were to continue, I would have to sacrifice a lot more time and I know that I will be unable of doing so while still studying in University. You taught me that you can't just play, you have to aim for something to make it worthwhile. So although I am unsure of where my musical "talent" will lead me, I will use what I have to praise and glorify God! Music is something that will continuously inspire me. I'd like to thank you for all you've done for me in the past two/three years I've studied with you. I have learned so much studying with you and you've been such a great help to me. You've taught me more than just reading notes. You taught me to love music all over again. I'm so honoured to have met someone like you in my life. You have been an inspiring role model to me. I hope you continue to teach for many years, so that more students will have the honour of studying with you. I've had a really hard year and you were a great person to talk to. I can't wait to come back and visit soon. I am very sad to go. I hope when I finish my degree, I can come back and help you expand your business if you want to. That way a lot of students will have the opportunity of studying with you and you can work less hours and spend more time with your family. Your children must be very lucky to have a mother like you. I can't believe it's been NINE YEARS since little 6 year old me first stepped foot into your studio. Nine recitals, seven exams and countless songs later, I am walking out a changed person: my sense of appreciation for music has greatly deepened and along with it, more patience. I remember when I used to complain from practising only half an hour. If you told me then I would be practising 7 hours a day by the time grade 10 rolled around, I would have laughed. Music has brought calm to my emotions, and you have brought kindness to my life. Thank you for being an indispensable friend for all these years. I wish I could recount all of the times we burst out laughing in the studio, but there really are too many to count. Over the years, I have had lessons every week on any given day of the week except Sunday. Can't believe it's been so long that that's even possible... It's going to be real weird not seeing you every week anymore. But I promise I won't ever stray too far from a piano. Although I can promise that I likely won't do 7 hrs/day anymore!! At the first recital I played at my feet didn't even reach the ground. Nearly a decade later, I walk out standing tall (5 feet !!!) I hope that I will still be able to attend and play at your recitals long after I finish my grade 10 exam. Don't forget to call me every year!! So as I near the end of space on this card, I just really want to say my heartiest thank you for some of the best years of my life. Thank you for making music a part of my childhood.
